Tanjiro is low Hashira level here. Remember at this point he has already beaten LM1 and UM6 with Tengen so he has a lot of experience. Muichiro is top 3 Hashira level that's why Tanjiro appear weak to him.

You're forgetting that nezukos beserk form is stronger than some of the upper moons. Upper moon 6 literally stated this. The only problem is that nezuko can't control her beserk form. Tanjiros adrenaline rush mode he went into against the upper moon 6 was literally unstoppable. She couldn't even lay a finger on him and each attack from him was burning her. Unfortunately that mode from tanjiro also has its downside since he can't breath when he is in that state.

And the fact that Tanjiro keeps worrying about Nezuko and Genya even though he's fighting ;) he's just so sweet .
